Bishop Gilbart Burnet lived from 1643 to 1715 and wrote of the reformation of the church of England. These gorgeous red leather and gold gilt books are his complete 6 volumes of work. They date 1825 and have been fantastically well kept with the gold gilding on the pages as shiny as ever. Included in the pages are wonderful engravings of the famous peoples of the times including Henry VIII. I love also that the books were once owned by an English Reverend as noted in the page marker on the front cover. Use these to add to your library or to add a flare of fabulous red to your décor.
